Since February 10, 2022, I, Laura Jellema, have been the owner of this cheese and delicatessen shop in the Eleven Cities town of Workum. We mainly sell cheese, tapas, and nuts. However, you can also come to us for a quality wine or other delicacies.
I worked for 35 years as a manager in a hospital. Because of Corona, I decided to take a different path.
I’ve come to appreciate the love for the cheese trade, because my partner always pointed out which cheese varieties exist in the world. In the 1990s, my partner traveled the seasons as head coach of the Dutch Ski Association (Winter in Europe, our summer on the southern hemisphere).
Nowadays he coaches athletes at a law firm. He helps me in my store whenever he has a free moment. So don’t be surprised if he wraps up your cheese ;-)
